invoke_domain_query¶
Resolves a question using the matching top-level <query> in the active DDD.
Attributes, children, and placement¶
| Attribute | Meaning |
|---|---|
type | Question type; defaults to wh_question. |
predicate | Predicate for a predicate-backed question. |
Question content follows the shared question syntax; the item has no plan-item-specific children. It can appear in a plan, postplan, or conditional branch.
Behavior and usage¶
The DME sends the question to the currently active domain, which selects the matching top-level <query>. Tala 31.0.1 sets both result bounds to one for this item. Use it for answers declared in the DDD; use invoke_service_query for an external operation.
<goal type="resolve" question_type="wh_question" predicate="price">
<plan>
<invoke_domain_query type="wh_question" predicate="price"/>
</plan>
</goal>
An enumerating query restarts after its last item. Use has_more_items to detect exhaustion and reset_domain_query to explicitly restart its state. See Domain queries.
