forget¶
Makes the system forget either one proposition or all propositions of a predicate. The target is removed from private beliefs and shared commitments.
<forget predicate="colour"/>
<forget>
<proposition predicate="means_of_transport" value="train"/>
</forget>
Attributes and children¶
| Attribute | Meaning |
|---|---|
predicate | Optional predicate whose propositions should be forgotten. |
With predicate and no child, all propositions for that predicate are forgotten. Alternatively, provide one proposition child to forget a particular value. Use one form at a time.
Placement and examples¶
Can appear in a plan, postplan, or conditional branch. To clear all colour values:
Use forget_shared to remove a fact from shared commitments while leaving private beliefs unchanged. Use forget_all to restart the dialogue state.
